4-18-2009 - With the threat of rain all
day, it soon eased off about 8am and did not return until
that evening. The weekend of the spring football game
and TKE tailgate at the baseball game went off without an
hitch. A great turnout for the spring football game
and baseball game. If the weather had been sunny this
weekend, no telling how many people would have showed up for
these events. Next spring, plan on having several
weekends during the baseball season with TKE tailgates.
Once again, TKE leads the way for others to follow.....I had
several people from other fraternities mention to us that
what a great idea we came up with about tailgating at the
baseball game. Now its on to our next big event, June
12th and 13th, the 60th anniversary, golf tournament and
goat roast weekend.
We hope to see all of you there.
6-12-2009, 6-13-2009 - The Beta-Psi chapter held the
60th anniversary dinner, Annual TKE Alumni Golf Tournament,
and Goat Roast this weekend. The weekend turned out
perfect with everyone having a great time socializing and
remember memories of the past. Read more in the
upcoming edition the Bond which should arrive around the
first of August! Also, pictures will be posted shortly
from this weekend.
10-23-09/10-24-09
For those of you who missed the homecoming tailgate, you
missed by far the best one yet. Thanks to Lavon and Zach,
they really outdid themselves. Great ribs and pork shoulder
was on the menu and it was just that, great. But, the day
wasn't over yet. They put their ribs and shoulders to the
test, in the Tailgate Backyard BBQ Contest and won First
Place in the Rib's Division and Best Overall for the
contest. Congrats to them.
One big change this year, instead of the Holiday Inn for all
the parties, everything was moved to downtown this year.
Friday and Saturday night saw great crowds and alot of fans
filing into all the establishments in downtown. Thanks to
the ASU Alumni Association and Downtown Jonesboro
Association for putting on such a great event.
Also, the game was great because not only did we win, but
ASU continued it's Homecoming streak to seven games now.
Final score ASU 27, Florida International 10.
